It started as an email for one painter in Austin.
My wife, Iris Kwon, is a painter and illustrator. She makes work as Child Appetite. A while back I started sending her a daily email of open calls, so she could spend her time painting instead of digging through call-for-entry sites.
Since then she’s been accepted into several Austin galleries and sold a major painting, all from calls she found in that email. Studio Calls is that same email, for any artist who wants it.
We’re small and still learning. If something looks off, reply to any email. It comes straight to me.
